The Washington Post's ombudsman spends its entire text on the reporting of the number of the protestors on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade. This now political/religious issue is overstepping the bounds of both the Constitution and the stare decisis status of Roe v. Wade, i.e. It is the accepted law of the land. No-one is forced to have an abortion, just as no-one is forced to become homosexual or enter into a gay-marriage. To picket abortion clinics, kill doctors, and generally try to put fear and guilt on women who contemplate or have an abortion is an intrusion into their civil rights. America is still managed by the rule of law, not religious doctrine, the pope, the rabbi, or the preacher. Time for the dormant women's movement to step up their public relations regarding the spreading of this clap-trap and emphasize yet again the rights of women.
